This week we alternated who's reading to the class. We were reading an article written in Spanish. Later on we partnered up and chose a topic to talk about. We were just supposed to have a conversation in Spanish about our topic. We chose sports. Lastly on Friday, we partnered up two times and we had to say our partner's name, place they live, and a random fact about them to the class.
Who have you worked with this week?
I have worked with Arianna, Francisco, and Kiana.
Who are you looking forward to work with?
I am looking forward to work with Isaiah because I haven't had the chance to work with him yet.
What are the reasons behind selecting your first video partner?
The reasons behind selecting Arianna as my partner are because we know each other. From past partnerships with her, I know she has good ideas and doesn't slack. Arianna is also one of my close friends, so I'm very comfortable working with her.
For the first video recording in Week 3, what are your goals? Is it pronunciation, time, etc.? Please be specific.
My goals are time and memorization. Whilst practicing with Arianna we haven;t made it past 50 seconds. I guess it's not that bad for the start of the year, but I would like to try to add a bit more later on. Memorization isn't required when we present to the class, but I would definitely like to not rely on my notes.
What do you need to be a reliable partner?
I feel like to be a reliable partner you need to be cooperative, a good listener, and at least try to get some ideas out there.
With a three day weekend, how do you plan to do your homework? Movies, conversation(s), reading, music, social media, etc.?
I think I'm going to try social media. I have some friends that post images or conversations in spanish. It seems like a good conversation starter and way to understand what she is posting.
What is your current Spanish knowledge? Did you come to this class already being proficient, is this still very new to you, or are you somewhere in the middle?
My current Spanish knowledge is what I was able to retain last year, from Spanish 1. Which is being able to have a small conversation that is short and simple. I mainly retained answers more than questions, but the language is still fairly new to me.
