Welcome to my S.L.C. Page for Digital Arts! An S.L.C. is also known as a Student Led Conference. In a Student Led Conference, the student will discuss how they feel they have done so far through the semester. In other words, the student will give themselves a personal reflection. As our teachers all tell us, they will be the facilitator in the conversation. They will be facilitating the conversation between the student and the parent(s) or family members.
In Digital Arts we have worked on a few projects. My favorite and the project I feel I succeeded the most, would have to be one of the, well I'd say smaller projects. It was a Classroom Design project. In this project, we had a fake teacher, who was known as Teacher X. Teacher X had specific needs and wants for their classroom. We started off with our own designs and then Mr. Henry, our teacher, had us put a post it note on the design that most resembles our design. We were then put into groups of 3-4 people. There were 3 jobs, the groups of 4 would have 2 people take the same job. I was in a group of 3 and I was the Environmentalist Designer. Taking the job meant that I design the environment around the classroom. My group and I decided that we would have a Science classroom underground.
As you can tell, In my design I have a box around my classroom. The box is to show the underground aspect of the classroom. Inside there is an open wall classroom. It is to show that there is a ladder and a glass wall. I am most proud of this project because I really tried to add a lot of detail and be specific with my measurements. I also feel that it worked with what Teacher X was asking for.
We also worked on a project where we made a Mind Map that revolved all around us. Some were chaotic. Some were simple. We used Adobe Illustrator(AI) As much fun as it was, I wish I had showed more. There wasn't a lot to really showcase that this is things that go on in my head. I think that in the process of making this Mind Map, I was unsure of what seemed awkward to put on my Mind Map. To be completely honest there are a few things I wish I had put on there, but some I'm glad I didn't.
